THE MAKEUP SHOW’S FACE TO FACE COMPETITION
Its no longer news that in whatever field of endeavor we Nigerians find ourselves, not only do we do a fine job, most times even, we top the charts in those fields.
And the global world of Makeup Artistry is currently being dazzled as Nigerian makeup artists pick one title after another.
Two weeks ago we did a post on four of our own artists unveiled by Eryca’s Brush Factor Challenge during the Olympia Beauty event in London.
Well, here’s an even Bigger One – The Makeup Show Orlando’s first ever Face to Face Makeup Competition was won not by any other but our very own Love Olaleye; one of Nigeria’s brightest in the field of makeup artistry. Not just the first ever winner of this international competition, Love was also the only African who made it to the finals.
The Makeup Show organizers announced Face to Face, a live competition that brought makeup artists at all levels of their career and all areas of the industry together to prove themselves and show their skills in a competition that puts their artistry in the spotlight and pushes them to show us their best. Individual makeup artists from the greater Florida market and all over the world came together to compete against their colleagues and prove that their skills in beauty, body, fashion & FX makeup, etc. set them apart from the rest.
The Face to Face coaches and mentors were the Makeup Show’s very own team of artists such as Orlando Santiago, Esterique Aidan, and Danessa Myricks & Kathy Aragon sharing a team.
There was four rounds of makeup challenge covering Bollywood Beauty/Body Makeup, Special Effects and Fashion Makeup segments; and judged by eight of the world’s most renowned artists.
And at the end of it all, The Super Star Artist who won the first ever FACE TO FACE INTERNATIONAL MAKEUP COMPETITION was none other than our own Love Olaleye of Flawless Touch.
